New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of the national capital Delhi Manish Sisodia has demanded a week's time for questioning from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI called him for questioning today in the case related to the 'Delhi Liquor Policy'. Sisodia has written a letter seeking time till February 27 from the CBI. He has said in the letter that he will be able to come for an investigation by the end of February. Right now time is important from the point of view of Delhi's budget.
Manish Sisodia has told that a day before on February 18, the CBI had sent him a notice to participate in the investigation of the liquor policy. On this, Sisodia has requested the CBI that being the Finance Minister of Delhi, he is serious for one day at this time, as he is busy finalizing Delhi's budget.
Further, Sisodia said that he is finalizing Delhi's budget by the end of February by spending 24 hours. So that it can be sent to the Central Government for approval. The budget is presented in the Delhi Assembly only after the approval of the Central Government. Being the last week of February, each and every day is critical. The preparation of the budget is in the final stage.
