Rewa: On the occasion of the Mahashivaratri festival in the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, the organizing committee has registered its name in the Asia Book of World Records by preparing khichdi on a large scale. The organizing committee has made this record in its name by making Mahaprasad of 5100 kilos of khichdi in a pan of 1100 kilos. Its preparation was going on for the past several days. On Saturday, the Asia World Record team from Indore also reached Rewa in front of whom this Mahaprasad was prepared. Thereafter, the team also presented a certificate to the organizing committee.
On the festival of Mahashivratri, the tradition of making Khichdi has been going on in the Rewa district for the past several years. But this time the organizing committee had organized a huge Bhandara. Its preparation was going on for many days. In Rewa, a record was created by preparing Mahaprasad of 5100 kilos of khichdi in a single pan for the devotees. For this, the team of Asia Book of World Records was called to Rewa. Thereafter, this Mahaprasad was prepared in front of the team. A dome pandal was set up in the Pachmatha temple premises. A stage was made in the middle of it, on one side Prasad was being made, and on the other side, Bhandara was organized.
Preparations were made to make Mahaprasad for Mahadev on this Mahashivratri festival by the Shiv Baraat Organizing Committee. For this, a cauldron made of 1100 kg iron was prepared. Mahabhog of 5100 kg was prepared in the pan. 5100 kg of khichdi was cooked in this 1100 kg pan. 100 kg desi ghee, 4000 liters of water, 600 kg rice, 300 kg pulses, and 100 kg green vegetables were added to it. To make it, 3 ladles of 14-14 feet were used. 21 Shiva devotees together made this Mahaprasad.
