Patna: The bail plea of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving a sentence in the fodder scam case, was heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Friday. During this time, the court sought a reply from the Jharkhand government about the special facility and concession given to Lalu Prasad during the sentence.
The court asked the Hemant Soren government of the state that by whose order the RJD supremo was shifted from the paying ward of RIMS to the bungalow of the director of RIMS, and later on now by whose order has it been brought back to the paying ward? The court also asked for detailed details of the government's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to meet and protect the prisoners. Additional Advocate General Ashutosh Anand told the court that an SOP has been formed to meet and protect the prisoners. If anyone wants to meet Lalu Prasad, then they have to apply 15 days in advance.
Lastly, Lalu Yadav had allegedly called the NDA MLA from the bungalow of the RIMS director and sought his support for toppling the government. In return, he was lured by offering the post of minister. Audio of this alleged conversation also went viral on social media, after which there was a stir. All were demanding action against Lalu by accusing him of blowing away the prison manual.
