Every year, 1st July is celebrated as National Chartered Accountants' Day. State that the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI came into existence on 1st July, 1949 by a law of Parliament. There are only a few old professional institutions in the country, including the name of ICAI. ICAI has about 2.5 lakh members, with the second largest professional accounts and financial body of the Word

Since the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was established on 1st July, National CA Day is celebrated. Let us tell you l that every year, on the day of the establishment of ICAI, National CA Day is celebrated to honour chartered accountants across the country on 1st July.

Note that members of an institution with membership of less than five years are called Associate Chartered Accountants (ACA). While members with membership of more than five years are called Fellow Chartered Accountants (FCA). A member of the ICAI can use CA before his name.
