Bharatiya Janata Party has prepared a new plan in view of widespread opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act and the proposed NRC. According to sources, in the first week of January, BJP will reach the Muslim community by holding a conference at the national level so that the opposition campaign can be fought on the issue of citizenship. Apart from this, BJP will also run a contact campaign at the national level in which their opinion will be taken from the Muslim community.

According to the sources, BJP and Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi held a meeting in this regard on Friday in which the Chairman of National Minorities Commission G. Hasan Rizvi and some other Muslim leaders of BJP took part. There was a discussion on strategy regarding this subject.
