New Delhi: Maulana Arshad Madani has now demanded the repeal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) after PM Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of agricultural laws. Welcoming PM Modi's announcement, Jamiat Ulma-e-Hind President Maulana Syed Arshad Madani said that CAA should also be cancelled now. He has issued his statement in Deoband. Maulana Arshad Madani's statement said that democracy and the power of the people are paramount.

Madani said those who think that the government and parliament are more powerful are absolutely wrong. People have once again shown his strength as a farmer. The success of this movement also teaches that no mass movement can be crushed by force. Our farmer brothers deserve congratulations for this because they have made a big sacrifice for it. Once again, the reality has come to light that if a movement is launched with honesty and patience for a legitimate purpose, not a day goes without success.

Madani also claimed that it was the anti-CAA movement (Shaheenbagh) that led to the farmers' protest. He said this is a reality and it cannot be denied. Maulana Arshad Madani recalled how women and elderly people sat on the road for several days and said, 'Mountains of tyranny'. He claimed that the government did not succeed in crushing the agitation even after several serious cases were launched against those involved in the agitation.
