Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) President Abhishek Dalmia has joined hands with the Sundarbans Foundation to feed 10 families living in the forest area. The Sundarbans forest stretches for several kilometers between India and Bangladesh and is counted in the World Heritage of the United Nations (UN). Many people have lost their lives due to lion attacks in this area.
The lockdown imposed due to coronavirus has greatly affected their lives. Therefore, an NGO named Sundarbans Foundation decided to help them and sought help from Abhishek. With the help of Abhishek, this NGO will distribute food packets to more than 100 families. The founder of NGO Prasanjeet Mandal said, Our NGO is connected with social work in many ways. But the biggest problem at this time is that these people are greatly affected due to the lockdown. We are thankful to Abhishek that he helped us and we hope that he will do so in future also.
Abhishek said, Sundarbans Foundation called us and talked about the situation. We immediately agreed to it.
