Mumbai: The health of cabinet minister Dhananjay Munde in the Maharashtra government suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday night. He has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope is about to reach the hospital to know the condition of his colleague Munde. Let us tell you that Dhananjay Munde won the 2019 assembly elections from Parli assembly constituency.

NCP MLA Munde is the Social Justice and Special Assistance Minister of Maharashtra state since 24 December 2019. He is also the minister in-charge of Beed district. Earlier, Dhananjay Munde played the role of the Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council. In January 2021, a singer filed a rape complaint against Munde, which was later withdrawn. Munde denied the allegations of rape and had rejected demands for his resignation.

Munde claimed that he was in a relationship with the sister of the woman who filed the complaint and even had two children from a relationship that was known to his wife and family. Dhananjay Munde, the nephew of BJP leader and Union minister late Gopinath Munde, joined Sharad Pawar's NCP in 2012, leaving his uncle's side. He was also made a member of the Legislative Council by the NCP in 2014. Thereafter, in the same year Munde was also contested for the assembly elections, but he had to be defeated by Pankaja Munde. Then in 2019, Dhananjay defeated his cousin Pankaja from Parli seat and became a cabinet minister in the Mahavikas Aghadi government.
