Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya made damning allegations on Monday, unveiling a video that purportedly showcases the intentions of Pro Khalistani supporters in Surrey to incite disruptions at the Hindu Laxmi Narayan Mandir.

Taking to social media platform X, Arya, of Indian descent, detailed the distressing events, stating, “Reports indicate that last week, supporters of Khalistan verbally assaulted a Sikh family outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, BC. Now, it seems this same group is aiming to sow discord at the Hindu Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey."

Expressing frustration, he highlighted that these actions are being cloaked under the guise of freedom of speech and expression. "Repeatedly, I urge the Canadian authorities to intervene promptly and take necessary action."

Arya vehemently condemned such behavior as unacceptable, urging for an immediate and decisive response. "Hindu temples have faced numerous attacks in recent years. Hate crimes against Hindu-Canadians persist. Allowing these acts to continue openly and unabated is intolerable," stressed the Canadian MP.

This recent development follows a string of disturbing incidents. On August 13, a temple in British Columbia fell victim to vandalism, plastered with anti-India and pro-Khalistan posters on its entrance and rear wall. The Lakshmi Narayan Mandir was defaced with these offensive materials.

In another unfortunate event this year, an Ontario Hindu temple was vandalized in April. The Windsor Police released CCTV footage, revealing two suspects defacing the temple walls with spray paint.
