Last year in September, Rishi Kapoor had tweeted that he was flying to the US for some medical treatment. After this news the fans got shocked and prayed for the speedy recovery of the actor. In a ggod news, Recently, Rishi Kapoor has recently revealed that he is cancer-free. Earlier this week, filmmaker Rahul Rawail took to social media and in a post stated that the actor is cancer-free. Now, in an interview, Rishi has opened up about his illness.

According to the report of Deccan Chronicle, Rishi said, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free.”

The actor further added that he is yet to undergo another medical procedure. "I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum," he said.

The Mulk actor also revealed that his wife stood by him like a rock and his kids, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor, have really shouldered his problems.

Earlier, Rishi broke the shocking news on social media he had written, "Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!.”
