Amritsar: Former Punjab CM and Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) national president Captain Amarinder Singh is going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 19 September. The Captain will join the BJP along with his son Ran Inder Singh, daughter Jai Inder Kaur and grandson Nirwan Singh. His party will officially merge with the BJP on 19 September. In such a situation, some interesting changes are being said in the politics of Punjab.
According to the information, former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh will join the party in the presence of BJP chief JP Nadda during a program organized at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. It has been told that along with Captain Amarinder, about 6 to 7 former MLAs of Punjab will also join BJP. All the close and old associates of Captain Amarinder Singh have been asked by Jai Inder Kaur, his daughter and who is currently handling the entire political work of Captain Amarinder, to reach Delhi on 19 September.
Let us tell you that Captain Amarinder Singh had resigned from the Congress before the Punjab elections. Talking about a dispute with the Congress High Command, he had given up the post of CM and party membership. During that time Navjot Singh Sidhu was the centre of the politics of Punjab. There was also fierce rhetoric between Sidhu and Amarinder. However, several days after leaving Congress, he had announced his party and later extended support to the BJP. But, he had a crushing defeat in the Punjab elections.
