Srinagar: Four soldiers, including Captain Ashutosh Kumar of the Border Security Force (BSF), were killed while thwarting the infiltration of militants in Machil area of Kupwara sector of Jammu and Kashmir. However, during this time the army has also killed three terrorists. The deceased was Captain Ashutosh Kumar, a resident of Jagir Tola Ward-17 of Bhatrandha Paramanandpur Panchayat in Ghelad Block. His father Ravindra Bharti is an employee at Ghailad Animal Hospital. Ashutosh got a job two years ago. He was posted on the border for nine months.

After receiving information about the incident, mourning has spread to the entire village including the house of Captain Ashutosh. Ashutosh had two sisters and a brother. Ashutosh's father was informed about his martyrdom around 5 pm. After this, his mother started crying. It is being told in media reports that on Sunday morning, a team of 12 BSF personnel was patrolling in Machil area bordering Pakistan. Meanwhile, five militants were seen infiltrating from Pakistan. After this, the encounter started.

In this, Captain Ashutosh killed two terrorists. However, in the firing of the terrorists, four soldiers including Ashutosh got martyred. While some others are reported injured. Three terrorists have been killed in this action.
