Capture A Trip is a young travel company that has paved its own way into the travel market. It started in 2016, and since then has been holding the position of a top player in the travel industry, without any external investors, and are changing the definition of 'travel' for people.
When talking about the vision of Capture A Trip, its CEO Nitin Khanna says, "In the Indian market, travelling has always been perceived as travelling to some fixed places by the elders of the family and going on a family vacation with them. But the times have changed, now the Indian population consists mainly of the youth who are the own decision makers of their lives. We wanted to ignite the passion inside this youth and focus mainly on this particular segment of population." Seems like he was able to hit the bulls eye with his correct market positioning, as 95% of travellers of Capture A Trip fall into the age group of 22-35.
Apart from targeting the young people, Capture A Trip has built a community of travelling in their trips, where like-minded strangers travel together and explore their inner selves. It helps solo travellers to meet interesting people on the way, as well as female travellers who're hesitant to travel because of safety issues. On this Nitin says, "One thing that we never compromise on is women safety. No matter what happens we prioritise the comfort and safety of female travellers. We send trip coordinators on all our trips who particularly ensure this." Their efforts surely seem to work because there's a healthy 1:1 male to female ratio of their travellers.
When talking about future goals of CAT, that is already being called an established company in the industry, Mr. Khanna says, "I don't want to limit Capture A Trip as just an Indian travel company but expand it to all feasible sectors of travelling. Our initiatives of expanding to provide International trips and travel hostels called YOLO Hostels are few of those examples." Call it the passion and hardwork of the young blood of Mr. Khanna, or a good strategic planning of his team, Capture A Trip has got the game right. They're earning eight times the revenue they were earning last year and have become a role model for small start-ups of all the sectors.
