Tata Motors have previously announced to get into the world's top 3 positions in the car making the segment. Recently, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki has achieved to acquire the top two position of the India's carmaking segment, and now the real vie is going on for the 3rd position.

More than half dozen of the companies are on the line to get the third position.

Deepesh Rathore said, "Renault had a well-thought-out marketing strategy. Tata Motors worked more on improvements on the products front.And Toyota (including Daihatsu) has a bright future; market share gains can be immense once it enters high-volume segments like compact sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and hatchbacks."

Deepesh further added to his statement, "It has so far limited itself to small volume segments with good success."
