McAfee in its report revealed that more than 90 percent of epidemic-linked Malware has taken the form of trojans. In fact, most people around the world are worried about corona and hackers are taking advantage of it to prey on individuals. They are sending messages through SMS or WhatsApp asking them to download the vaccine app and once the user is clicking on that link and is falling prey to it.

Earlier, a case was also reported in November last year when no vaccine was approved in India. McAfee said the campaign is behind the Malware of the same family that was spotted in July due to the TikTok ban. McAfee also said that the fake vaccine Malware camp was first seen in Chile in February. According to the report, the researchers found evidence of a SMS worm targeting Indian users, one of the most common vaccine fraud campaigns. It encouraged users to download a vaccine app by sending messages through both SMS and WhatsApp and once downloaded, the Malware sent messages to everyone involved in the user's contact through SMS or WhatsApp.

SMS hackers are using a mobile Malware called Etinu to read messages and confirm the membership of unknown subscription service for users and to take necessary information. More than 700,000 downloads were reported before it was detected and deleted.
