Varanasi: A janitor in the city was forced to take care of the autos caught by the police. When the driver came to pick up his auto, the watchman refused. Meanwhile, the driver beat him and injured him along with his teammates. The janitor died when he was taken to the hospital. In Varanasi, three to four people were drinking alcohol in an auto on Sunday in Ade village of Cant police station area.

Auto left for supervision

According to information, the police came to the spot and left all the autos and fled. On the spot, the police confiscated the auto and left for auto care near Rajkumar Chauhan(35), a village watchman. When the auto driver came back with his teammates, he began carrying the auto. In the meantime, Rajkumar protested against the auto-carrying.

Police launch investigation into the case

At the same time, the auto driver and his associates found this to be nagwar. All together, they thrashed the watchman. He was seriously injured. Police rushed the janitor to the BHU Trauma Centre, where he died while undergoing treatment on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, Amaravati Devi, the mother of the deceased, handed over the case of murder of her son to the police at Cantt police station. The police registered a case and started searching for the accused. At present, the accused are out of police custody.
