President Donald Trump remains in discussion regarding the H-1B visa. 174 Indian citizens, including 7 minors, have approached the court against this direction. They have filed a case in the court in which President Trump's instruction has been demanded to be illegal. Under this directive, he had issued a provision for a ban on the arrival of Indians in America or a temporary ban on the issuance of visas.

It is to be noted that the Trump administration had directed to cancel the visas of foreign students studying in the US. On which several educational institutions including Harvard University reached the court after which the Trump administration had to withdraw its decision. President Trump announced on June 22 that the process of issuing an H-1B visa was suspended till the end of the year. This visa is particularly popular among Indian IT professionals. Indian citizens filed a lawsuit in the District Court of Columbia on Tuesday against this directive from Trump.

On Wednesday, court judge Ketanji Brown issued a notice to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Executive Secretary of Home Security Affairs Chad F. Wolf as well as Labor Minister Eugene Scalia on the case. Lawyer Wasden Benias, who filed a case on behalf of 174 Indians, said, "The directive prohibiting H-1B or H-4 visas could harm the US economy. It also disregarded the family and disregarded Parliament."
