LOS ANGELES: Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is unsure whether 'Wednesday' will be renewed for a second season on Netflix.

The 53-year-old actress plays Morticia Addams in the Netflix series in which Jenna Ortega plays the title character of the gothic teen, but she acknowledged that the cast doesn't know if there will be any additional episodes, according to aceshowbiz.com.

When asked if there would be a season two, she responded to E! News, "We have no idea!"

Her remarks come days after Jenna, a former star of "Stuck in the Middle," claimed that while Wednesday, who first appeared as a cartoon character alongside her gothic family in a 1930s comic strip, had always been compared to her, she still needed to make some "physical" changes to be able to play the part.

She said: "Since I was six years old, I've been told I resemble her. Despite the fact that I have a very dark sense of humour, I had to alter how I carried myself physically. She almost seems uneasy around people. You can therefore be sure that she is not doing maliciously when she engages in poisonous or manipulative behaviour." The "Chicago" star is currently starring as Billie Pearce, a black market antiques dealer, in the Disney+ original series "National Treasure: Edge of History," which will premiere on December 14. She said it was "nice to have a little darker side" with the part.
