Indore: A case related to school has come up from Indore Madhya Pradesh. A high-tension line is going from the campus of a school, while somewhere in the same building, CBSE and MP Board schools are being run simultaneously. Due to such flaws, Joint Director Public Education has cancelled the recognition of 12 CBSE schools in Indore district. For the year 2021-22, applications were received from the Joint Director for recognition and new recognition from 24 schools.

However, there were also renewal cases with new recognition. But on the basis of these applications, the Joint Director formed an inspection team of officials of the School Education Department. Based on this inspection report, the recognition has been revoked. The schools whose accreditation is revoked can appeal to the Commissioner of Public Education.

From last year, the CBSE has been given the responsibility of accrediting schools for new recognition and renewal. The Joint Director is recommending to give recognition for the upcoming education session 2021-22 on completion of the criteria set in the school premises. According to Joint Director Manish Verma, many flaws have come up in schools under the inspection of investigation teams. The parties inspected the schools in March before the lockdown, while some schools were inspected in the same month after the lockdown opened.
