Jammu: The ceasefire has been violated by the Pakistan Army in the Baktur sector of Bandipora district. There is heavy mortar shelling from the border. The Indian Army is giving a befitting reply to this action of Pakistan. On Monday, 3 February 2020, Poonch Pakistan started firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector of North Kashmir's Kupwara district for the second consecutive day. A civilian was killed in this where the two Jats of the Army and 17 Bihar Regiment gave a strong answer to Pakistan. The shelling from Pakistan continued till late evening.

According to the information received, Pakistan started firing in the Gurez sector of Bandipora at around 6:30 pm. Meanwhile, the army demolished the terrorist hideout in Poonch, thwarting the terror plot. A large quantity of ammunition has been recovered from the terrorist hideout. In the Tangdhar sector, shells were targeted at the residential areas along with the forward posts from Pakistan. A civilian was seriously injured in this. He died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Salim (50). The SSP has confirmed the death of the citizen. There is panic among villagers due to shelling.
