The Union Petroleum and Gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on saturday that a huge amount of $25 billion will be invested by the centre on the oil and gas sector. The minister in the motion of his announcement said that "investment worth $25 billion in the petroleum sector in which oil and gas exploration companies like Cairn India will play a big role".
On the fluctuation and non-stableness of the oil prices, he said "I don't think fluctuating crude oil prices should lead to a sense of despair among oil companies as they know how to reposition and re-adjust themselves to these fluctuations in the international market."
