On Wednesday, the central government asked the states and union territories to ensure basic facilities for the differently-abled during treatment in Covid-19 testing and quarantine centres and hospitals. Shakuntala D. Gamlin, secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Divisions And has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of Union Territories. In the letter, Gamlin has written that several Covid-19 centres have been identified as containment units, isolation treatment centres and testing labs to reduce the impact of the epidemic.
