Haridwar Kumbh: Centre's letter to Uttarakhand government directs strict adherence to corona protocol

New Delhi: Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written to the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand to strictly adhere to the protocol at Kumbh Mela. The health secretary has written this letter after the high-level central team's Aquarius tour. In the letter, he said that as per the report of the central team, 10 to 20 pilgrims and 10 to 20 local people are getting infected every day. Even then, the testing figure in Haridwar is not satisfactory. Strict steps should be taken to prevent the spread of corona.

The infection of corona in many parts of the country is once again thrust back. Coronavirus has been found in 43,846 people in the last 24 hours. This figure is the highest in the last 115 days. Earlier, 43,174 cases were reported on 26th November last year. According to the health ministry, on the last day, 22,956 people beat corona and 197 people died. The data (active case) of patients treating corona in the country is also increasing rapidly. On the last day, the number of active cases crossed 3 lakh.

Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, DM, Dehradun has instructed the concerned departments to take up a random sampling of those coming from the Kovid infected areas. He also instructed to increase the number of daily checks at railway stations, ISBT, airports, and borders.
