New Delhi: Central employees are going to get big good news during the New Year. In fact, the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees can be increased. The Government had just announced a big increase of 12 percent in DA and it was implemented on 1st July in 2021, but after it increased, dearness allowance was not released to the employees. Lakhs of employees are waiting for payment of Dearness Allowance, some reports say that the Centre is now planning to release arrears of DA employees.
If this happens, the DA of employees will increase by 3 percent and this year's DA payment can go to the accounts of employees up to more than Rs 2.18 lakh. At the same time, the minimum wages can also be increased. The government's move will bring a big boost to all employees and pensioners. According to reports, the government will announce the release of the DA arrears in December itself and for that, they will schedule a meeting in the cabinet around December 24, which can be chaired by PM Modi himself.
The salaries of central employees are expected to increase during the new year. In this case, house rent allowance can also be increased along with DA. If the dearness allowance increases by three percent to 34 percent, the HRA will also increase.
