Kolkata: The ongoing clashes between West Bengal and the central government are not going to end. A notice has now been sent by the Central government to former Bengal Chief Secretary Alpan Bandyopadhyay. PM Narendra Modi had visited Bengal after Cyclone Yaas, but Alpan did not attend the meeting. Now the central government has sought a reason for him not to attend the meeting in three days.

Section 51 (B) of the Disaster Management Act has been used by the Central Government. The notice questions Alpan Bandyopadhyay as to explain in three days why action should not be taken against him. The letter sent by the Centre said PM Modi waited for 15 minutes during the review meeting in Kalaikunda, followed by chief secretary and CM Mamata Banerjee. Now the reason behind all these reasons has been asked.

Let us tell you that the Centre has already taken a tough stand on Alpan Bandyopadhyay after not attending the meeting. Earlier, the Union Ministry of Personnel had summoned Alpan to Delhi, but Mamata Banerjee did not send him to Delhi. Mamata Banerjee has now removed him from the post of chief secretary and appointed him as his advisor.
