On this, Ashwini Vaishnav has said that self-regulation is very important, under which they should remove the content that has a negative impact on society on its own. He further talked about industry regulation and then government regulation. He said that there is such an ecosystem or thought process being created all over the world that social media should be made accountable and as journalists work so hard to create content, then you should also get the benefit of it.

He further said that if Facebook is getting revenue from it, then you should also get a share of it. He also talked about making everyone a partner in the process. Let us know that Twitter has decided to fight a legal battle against the Modi government and is not removing inflammatory content. The company says that some officials are misusing the rules, so they should be judicially reviewed. Twitter has also been warned by the IT Ministry that a criminal case can be filed against it in case of non-compliance.

The Centre had asked Twitter to take action on pro-Khalistani accounts. At the time of the 'farmers' movement,' false information was spread to heat up the market of rumours, in such a way, these contents were also asked to be removed. At the same time, instructions were given to take action on accounts spreading inflammatory and fake content about Corona. But, Twitter did not take action against them by considering them as 'freedom of expression' and stood up against the government.

Twitter was given a moratorium until July 4 to remove inflammatory and rumoured content. Twitter has also taken action on many handles, but now it has come down to its review. In the Karnataka High Court too, Twitter has challenged the government's orders. The social media company had also been very evasive in complying with the new IT rules.
