New Delhi: The government has decided to open 21 new Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. All these will open in many states of the country. New buildings of 15 Kendriya Vidyalayas have also been inaugurated on 11 October. Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' inaugurated 13 new buildings of Kendriya Vidyalayas through video conferencing from Ministry of Human Resource Development at Shastri Bhawan and also laid the foundation stone for 6 new buildings. All these 19 Kendriya Vidyalayas are located in 12 regions of the country.
Significantly, this is the first time that the Union Human Resource Development Minister has inaugurated new buildings in such a large number. All these projects prepared at a cost of more than Rs 350 crore will benefit more than 20 thousand children. On this occasion, Reena Ray, Joint Secretary RC Meena, Joint Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department, Ministry of Human Resource Development, and Senior Officer of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan were also present.
On this occasion, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said that the Kendriya Vidyalaya system has become an example of excellence in the country today and is also making its mark at the international level. Pokhriyal congratulated the principals, parents, students of all Kendriya Vidyalayas and also congratulated the local MPs, MLAs and other people's representatives and expressed confidence that the Kendriya Vidyalayas will soon become a world-class institution.
