The then Shivraj government had claimed to plant 7 crore 10 lakh 39 thousand 711 saplings on 2 July 2017. When the Chartered Accountant of the Guinness Book of World Records verified this, 2 crore 22 lakh 28 thousand 954 plants were found at 5,540 places. 499 crore rupees were spent by various departments on this event.
