Amravati: Andhra Pradesh politics has come to a boil. Former state CM and Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh have been placed under house arrest along with several party workers. Chandrababu was trying to visit Atmakur village in Guntur district, where he was to address a rally. The rally was organized over the alleged attack on activists. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a hunger strike at his home from 8 am to 8 pm today.

Large number of police personnel have been deployed to prevent a possible clash between the ruling YSR Congress and TDP workers. Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Atamakur village on Wednesday afternoon to build trust among the families of the victims of attacks by YSR Congress workers in the last three months. The YSR Congress has also claimed that their activists have been attacked by TDP people. In protest, YSR Congress has also started a program called Chalo Atamakur.

This is expected to increase the dispute between the two parties. Police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC in Atamakur village and its adjoining areas.
