“For days I had temperature. I was very weak. Just a day after my reports came, my mother also tested positive. It seemed all my nightmares came true,”.

After days of fever, distress, and weakness, Chandreyee Ghosh finally recuperated from COVID-19. The actress had tested positive on April 11.

Chandreyee had lost her sense of taste and smell for almost a week. “I was sensing smell of strong deos after a week or so. My mother, on the other hand, had mild symptoms. Maybe because she had taken her first dose of vaccine, the virus affected her less,” she said.

The actress has also thanked those who stood by her side during these dark hours. “As soon as I got my reports, a strange depression engulfed me. It was due to the anxiety and panic attacks. However, a lot of my friends and neighbours came forward. Neel (Mitra) and Aditi (Roy) live close to my house. They cooked for us. Actress Mallika Mazumder, some of my other neighbours, my didi, and others also cooked us meals. That was helpful. I am indebted to them,” Chandreyee mentioned. The actress is still following her physician’s guidelines to the hilt. “I am having a lot of fruits, vitamins and other medicines. I'm much better now. I hope to be absolutely alright soon,” Chandreyee said.
