The Mumbai Crime Branch has filed a 1,736-page chargesheet in the MCOCA court in connection with the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence. The chargesheet reveals that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had attempted to extort money from Salman Khan and had also threatened him.

According to the chargesheet, Bishnoi had been trying to establish his dominance in Maharashtra after gaining success in north-west India. He had targeted Salman Khan to extort money and had also made threats to harm him. The chargesheet includes digital evidence and forensic analysis that links Bishnoi to the crime.

The chargesheet also mentions that an accused, Vicky Gupta, had posted a Facebook message claiming responsibility for the attack on behalf of Bishnoi. This message was posted from Portugal and was found on Gupta's mobile phone. Additionally, a 3-5 minute recording of Gupta's conversation with Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence's brother, was also recovered from his phone, in which they discussed the plan to fire outside Salman Khan's residence.

Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz Khan have also given statements in the chargesheet. Salman Khan stated that he had not done anything wrong and was being targeted by Bishnoi for extortion. He alleged that Bishnoi had been threatening him and his family for years and had also fired outside his residence. Arbaaz Khan stated that their family was living in fear due to the constant threats from Bishnoi.

The chargesheet includes statements from 46 witnesses, including two accused, and names six accused, including Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who were arrested during the investigation. The other accused are Anuj Thapan and Sonu Kumar Bishnoi, who supplied weapons, and Mohammed Rafiq Chaudhary and Harpal alias Hari, who provided financial support.

The chargesheet also mentions that Lawrence Bishnoi has around 50-60 cases registered against him, including murder, attempt to murder, extortion, and drug trafficking. Bishnoi is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat, while his brother Anmol Bishnoi and another accused, Rohit Godara, are absconding and believed to be in America and Canada.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has filed a comprehensive chargesheet in the MCOCA court, which includes digital evidence, forensic analysis, and statements from witnesses and accused. The court has taken cognizance of the chargesheet, and the matter is now pending trial.
