Chelsea took advantage of Manchester United goalkeeper David Di Jia's Mistakes 3–1 win on Sunday to advance to the FA Cup final. Now the next match is going to be held on August 1 from Arsenal. Goalkeeper Di Jia made his first mistake in the 11th minute of the first half's injury-time when he turned a shot on the cross by Oliver Girod's Cesar Ajpilicuta.
However, in the 46th minute, Maison Mount took advantage of his mistake and scored a goal which gave Chelsea a 2–0 lead. Harry Maguire scored another big blow to United by scoring a brilliant goal in the 74th minute. Bruno Fernandes converted the penalty into a goal in the 85th minute, but United was able to reduce the difference of defeat due to this. This means that the first season as Team Chelsea coach Frank Lampard will end without the FA Final Cup.
Chelsea and United have meanwhile continued their hopes of making a place in the Champions League through EPL. Leicester City was defeated 3–0 on Sunday by Tottenham. 2016 champion Leicester has reached the stage of being eliminated from the first four for the first time since September. United is ranked fifth behind Leicester by just a goal difference. Chelsea is one point ahead of these two and remain in third place.
