Former team India fast bowler Irfan Pathan says that when Corona is about to return after the break due to infection. Fast bowlers will take at least 4 to 6 weeks to get into a rhythm. Most of the cricketers in Team India could not practice since March due to the lockdown implemented across the country to prevent corona infection. Fast bowler Shardul Thakur started training in Boisar, Maharashtra in May, while Rishabh Pant and Suresh Raina recently practiced through the net in Ghaziabad. Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, and Ishant Sharma among other players have also started training. Pathan, who played 29 Tests and 120 ODIs from India, said on the Star Sports show Cricket Connected, 'To be honest, I am worried about the fast bowlers.'
He told, 'It may take 4 to 6 weeks to get the rhythm. It is a difficult task and if you want to bowl at a speed of 140-150 kmph, then you run 25 yards to throw a ball and then throw a few overs, it will be difficult.'
Pathan said, "Our body gets stiff, the management of injury will also be important because I think the fast bowlers have to be a bit more cautious than the spinners and batsmen."
