Meanwhile, Chetan Chauhan, the cabinet minister of Yogi Adityanath government, died yesterday in Medanta Hospital, Gurugram in a very serious condition due to COVID-19 infection. CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the death of cricketer-turned-minister Chetan Chauhan. The UP government has announced a state mourning on the death of Cabinet Minister Chetan Chauhan.

73-year-old Chetan Chauhan was shifted from Sanjay Gandhi PGI of Lucknow to Medanta on Saturday. He was on life support system there. It is said that his kidney is not functioning. The position of Cabinet Minister Chetan Chauhan in the Yogi Adityanath government was very serious. Due to COVID-19 infection positive, the kidney of Chetan Chauhan, who was an Adjunct in Sanjay Gandhi PGI for a long time, stopped working. He has been shifted from Lucknow to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where he was kept on life support system.

UP Home Guard Minister Chetan Chauhan, who was infected with COVID-19 virus, was admitted on 11 July due to COVID-19 infection. UP cabinet minister Chetan Chauhan, who represents the country in cricket, has the ministries of military welfare, home guards, PRD and civil security in the government. CM Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to the cabinet minister Chetan Chauhan on his government residence 5-Kalidas Marg, Lucknow, after the death of the minister. There is a wave of mourning all around after his death.
