Cars, ahead of launch are passed through various tests, if they pass the test they are allowed to launch and if not, company work upon the defects. Recently, General Motor India's multipurpose vehicle (MPV) Chevrolet Enjoy failed in the Global NCAP test.

As per the United Kingdom-based global NCAP, Chevrolet Enjoy was manufactured without implanted air bags, thus it was given a zero star score in the safety and protection feature.

Global NCAP Secretary General David Ward said, " we are extremely concerned about the poor result of the Chevrolet Enjoy. There is nothing to enjoy about a zero star safety score and GM should be embarrassed that they are selling cars with such inadequate levels of occupant protection to Indian consumers."
