New Delhi: Chhath Puja, the great festival of public faith, is going to be celebrated in a very different way this time. There are only a few days left for this festival to come, and preparations have also begun. The festival is celebrated with great fanfare every year, but this year the festival is going to fade. It is reported that Chhath Puja will not be held at public places this year.
This 4-day festival is celebrated by millions of people in Bihar, Jharkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh, but this time the festival is not going to be celebrated in public places. According to the information received, the DDMA has rejected the proposal sent by the Delhi government for organising Chhath Puja citing the prevailing situation in corona. The DDMA rejected the Delhi government's proposal because the Central government has not yet been instructed to open a swimming pool. The corona cases are also increasing day by day.
Recently, Revenue Minister Kailash Gehlot said, "Chhath Puja will not be held in public places this year, though devotees can celebrate this festival in their homes or at a private place by following the Covid-19 guidelines". This year Chhath Mahaparva is going to be celebrated from 18th November to 20th November.
