Raipur: Auto drivers Javed and Rahman Ali have been arrested in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh for gang-raping a 16-year-old minor girl. The incident took place on Friday (December 10). Police have registered a case under various sections including the POCSO Act on the complaint of the minor girl. According to the report, the girl had left home on Friday to go somewhere. She went and got into the auto. Both the accused were already sitting in that auto.
Seeing the girl sitting alone in the auto, the accused started taking her away. When the victim questioned about the other riders being seated, the accused said it would be delayed and she would be released soon. The accused took the minor to Kamal Vihar. There, seeing the deserted roads and the area, the accused started molesting her. When the victim protested, she was taken to an empty plot nearby threatening to kill her and rape her alternately. Kamal Vihar is a deserted area with a new settlement. The roads here are usually empty.
After raping, the accused left the minor near Pachpeda and fled. The victim somehow reached her house 3 km away from there. On reaching home, she told her family the whole story. The family then took her to the police station. Police started tracking the mobile number and auto of the accused following the complaint. As soon as the accused were reported, the police raided their houses and nabbed them. The police of Raipur Police Kotwali police station said that the accused told that both of them knew the victim beforehand. During interrogation, the accused confessed their crime in front of the police. Police registered a case under various sections including rape and POCSO Act and produced the accused Javed and Rehman Ali in court, where both were sent to jail.
