Raipur: The process of paddy procurement is going to start from November 1 in Chhattisgarh. This time the Bhupesh Baghel government of the state has set a target of procuring more than one crore tonnes of paddy. State Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain has also reviewed the preparations for this. In this meeting through video conferencing, the Chief Secretary inquired about all the necessary arrangements for procurement including registration of farmers, paddy acreage, custom milling, paddy transportation, and financial arrangements.

Let us know that the registration of new farmers for paddy procurement is likely to be done by October 31. In any case, instructions have been issued to repair the paddy procurement system in all the centres before November 1. All committees have been asked to make adequate arrangements for the bags. In societies where the arrival of paddy is high, bags will be supplied in sufficient quantity.

The Chief Secretary has instructed to identify the farmers who have changed the crop cycle and complete the work by September 30 for verification of the area sown by the farmers. The Chief Secretary has ordered to complete the contract process with transport workers by October 15 for transportation of paddy.
