Raipur: A case of rape has been registered at Pathalgaon police station in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district against Christian evangelist Salum Babu Tandi. According to the information, Christian evangelist Saloom Babu Tandi brought a minor girl from Sitapur area to Pathalgaon on the pretext of getting education and she was raped by the accused several times.

According to the information received from the police, the accused Pastor Saloom Babu has been living in Pathalgaon area for a few days and took the accused minor with him on the pretext of providing better upbringing and better education about 3 months ago, but after two days he raped her. Taking advantage of Christmas, the minor somehow got out of the clutches of the accused and as soon as he got out of the clutches, he told himself about his past family members.

After hearing the entire talk of the girl, the family lodged a complaint with the Pathalgaon police station. The accused is currently on the run. According to the police, the alleged pastor hails from Mahasamund district. Police say the accused will soon be apprehended and put behind bars of the jail.
