Raipur: Amit Jogi, son of former Chhattisgarh CM Ajit Jogi, has been arrested. Former MLA Amit Jogi has been detained in the fraud case. The police arrested him from Marwahi Sadan. During this time, a large number of his supporters were also present on Jogi's bungalow. The supporters shouted slogans against the police and the administration.

In fact, when Amit Jogi was MLA, a case under section 420 was registered against him on 3 February 2018 at Gorela police station. In 2013, this case was filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Sameera Packra from Marwahi assembly constituency. According to the complaint, Amit Jogi incorrectly indicated his birthplace in the affidavit. A case of cheating was registered at Gorela police station against Amit Jogi about this.

After losing the election, Sameena Packra challenged the caste and date of birth of Amit Jogi by filing a petition in the High Court. On which the High Court ruled 4 days ago that the session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly has ended. Therefore, this petition is now dismissed. After this, a complaint has been lodged by Sameera Packra Gorela Police Station.
