Sukma: Naxalites have been accused of kidnapping 7 youths in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. According to reports, 7 youths from Kundeand and nearby villages of Sukma have been kidnapped and taken to the forest by Naxalites. Last Tuesday morning, Naxalites came to the village and took the youths with them. Now efforts are being made to bring back the youth.

According to reports, some public representatives and granulates from the area had reached the forest to rescue the youths. But he is said to have not returned so far. The police are also waiting for them to come back. Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma said that Naxalites have taken 7 youths from different parts of Kunded villages on July 18. Local leaders who went to bring him back have also not come back.

SP Sunil Sharma said police are still ascertaining whether the youths have gone of their own accord or whether the Naxalites have kidnapped them and taken them with them. The return of the public representatives who have gone to bring back the youth is also awaited. The situation will be cleared only after their return. Cases of Naxal violence in the Bastar division are on the rise. The Naxalites had killed their own old accomplice and dumped his body on the road at Gangalur in Bijapur on Tuesday.
