Chhota Rajan Recovered from COVID Returns to Tihar Jail

Gangster Chhota Rajan who recently contracted coronavirus was returned back to jail on Tuesday. He was admitted at AIIMS in Delhi for treatment after he testing positive was taken back to Tihar jail.

As per the information, following his recovery from illness officials discharged him. He was found Covid positive in the Tihar Jail on April 22. Immediate actions were taken and was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on April 24. A senior police officer confirmed quoting, Rajan was brought back to Tihar on Tuesday as he had recovered. On Friday, the jail administration had dismissed reports claiming that Rajan had died. The 61 year old underground don is lodged at the high-security prison since his arrest after deportation from Bali in Indonesia in 2015.

''News of death of Tihar jail inmate Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje @ Chhota Rajan s/o Sadashiv Nikalje is wrong,'' Director General (Prisons) Sandeep Goel had said.
