New Delhi: Senior Congress party leader P Chidambaram has recently come out with a statement that if no one will be affected by the CAA then why are Muslims excluded from the list of minorities. There is a lot of opposition to the ongoing Citizenship Amendment Act across the country. In which many political parties have also opposed the CAA. Now targeting Home Minister Amit Shah, senior Congress party leader, and former Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that if no one will be affected by CAA then why Muslims are excluded from the list of minorities.

Senior leader P Chidambaram said on the tweet that, 'Home Minister says that minorities will not be affected by CAA. If this is true, then he should tell the country who will be affected by CAA, he said, 'If the purpose of CAA is to benefit all minorities. So why are Muslims excluded from the list of minorities in the law? If no one would be affected by the CAA, as it currently is, why did the government pass the law?
