Amaravati: Rajya Sabha member and senior YSRCP leader V. Vijayasai Reddy claimed, "The corporate management (of schools and junior colleges) is keeping silent and Babu (Naidu) is silent as he fears that people will follow him." He said on Tuesday that neither the corporate school nor the Nara Chandrababu Naidu is speaking out on the issue of cap on schools and intermediate fees.

It may be noted that in three categories, the school fees from Nursery to Class X have been limited between Rs 10,000 and Rs 18,000 per annum. Similarly, it capped intermediate course fees for various courses from Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000 per year, including hostel and coaching fees for both schools and junior colleges.

The hostel fee is capped between Rs 18,000 and Rs 24,000 per year, while there is a similar cap of Rs 20,000 per year on competitive exam coaching for students in intermediate courses. Reddy took a dig at certain sections of the media for speaking out against fee regulation. According to the MP, the education initiative of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the future of poor students is bold and exemplary. He said several experts praised the CM's plans and programs for further education, which saw a total investment of Rs 26,678 crore in the last two years.
