The PM is considered more power-rich in the federal system of governance. He is the leader of the country, that leader, whose government runs the country, makes policies and can advise or even intervene in the case of the states if required. However, according to the rights, a CM is the most powerful leader of his state, who is the Chief of the state's government. People generally believe that the president has the highest salary in India. After that comes the PM's number. But it is not so. The salaries of CMs of many states are higher than the Prime Minister. Of course, this is surprising but it is true.

CMs of some states get more salary than PMs of India, yes! More than two and a half times. When India became independent, the PM's salary was not fixed. When Nehru became the Prime Minister of India, the big issue was what his salary would be. Nehru never took any initiative in this regard himself. However, many ministers in his cabinet felt that the manner in which the PM of Britain receives twice as much salary and other facilities than his cabinet ministers should be in the country.

The salary of the CM of the Telangana region is 4 lakh 10 thousand rupees per month. This is the largest figure in the list of salaries of chief ministers. After this, the number of the Chief Minister of Delhi is, his salary is 3 lakh 90 thousand rupees. The salary of the Chief Minister of Gujarat is Rs. 3.21 lakhs per month. The salary of CM of UP, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh is more than Rs 3 lakh per month. These states can be called top 7 in terms of salary of the Chief Minister. With this, these CMs get the highest salary.
