China executes kindergarten teacher for poisoning 25 pupils, one of whom dies

Beijing: This week, China executed a former kindergarten teacher who had poisoned 25 kids and killed one of them, according to Reuters, citing state media. In March 2019, 40-year-old Wang Yun poisoned the students by putting poisonous sodium nitrite in their porridge. Wang Yun was apprehended and found guilty in 2020.

At Mengmeng Pre-school Education in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, the incident took place.

Following a fight over "student management," Wang allegedly injected poison into her coworker's students' lunches, according to a court declaration.
Many students experienced vomiting and fainting as a result of the incident, which made international headlines. They were admitted to the hospital in large numbers.

The court added that one student, who was given the last name Wang, passed away after receiving treatment for 10 months.

According to the court, ex-teacher Wang was led to the execution site on Thursday.

According to the Associated Press, the majority of executions in China involve shooting the victim in the back of the head. The nation also employs lethal injections on occasion.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that thousands of people are reportedly put to death each year in China.
