Hong Kong: On Saturday, Hong Kong authorities activated the 'Serious Response' level after a mysterious infectious disease that had come to the mainland of China with tourists. 5 cases of viral pneumonia have been registered, while around 44 people have been infected in Wuhan, west of Shanghai.
According to information from sources, it has been learned that the alert of Serious Response' indicates its impact on the population of Hong Kong. The Spokesperson of the World Health Organization (WHO) said that it is aware of the new mysterious disease and is in touch with the Chinese government about it. He said that there is a high probability that it is viral pneumonia. At the same time, when asked the spokesperson about this, he said that 'WHO is keeping a close watch on this event and we will share as soon as we get further information.' After this, the screening of tourists has started in Singapore and Hong Kong. The mysterious virus is being feared that it is associated with serious respiratory disease or Sars. In the year 2002-03, more than 700 people died due to deadly flu like Sars virus which started from China.
The investigation has revealed that 8 people were punished for spreading rumors and false news on the internet without verification. China has launched a process of investigation for this mysterious viral pneumonia, due to which dozens of people have become victims of infection in Wuhan. On Friday, January 3, 2019, the Wuhan Health Commission said that the cause of the disease is being ascertained. At the same time, the statement released on its website said that it has investigated influenza, avian influenza and common respiratory diseases. However, there is no mention of Sars anywhere in it.
