Chinese company BYD has recently launched its new electric sedan, BYD Seal. This car competes with Tesla's Model 3 in the global market. BYD Seal is available in two variants: one with a single motor and the other with a dual motor variant.
Performance and Battery
- 0-100 km/h Speed : The top-end performance variant of the BYD Seal claims to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
- Charging time : If the car's battery gets discharged, then you can cover a distance of 200 kilometers in 15 minutes of charging.
- Battery Pack : It gets a larger 82.5 kWh battery pack that can deliver a range of 400-450 km, while the official range is 580 km.
Features and technology
- Lidar Sensor : The new BYD Seal features a roof-mounted lidar sensor module that enhances ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) functionality.
- Suspension : This car gets an upgraded chassis and optimal suspension performance, which improves comfort, stability, handling and suspension setup.
- Interiors : The new car has a unique four-spoke flat bottom steering wheel and a large centrally mounted floating touchscreen. Along with this, it also gets a wireless charging pad, hidden AC vents and a minimalist center console.
Safety and Advanced Features
- W-HUD head up display and 13 airbags are provided as standard features across all variants.
- The Advanced Damping Control system is also available on the top-spec AWD variants.
The BYD Seal is emerging as a strong competitor in the electric car market with its features and performance.
