The two children were identified as two-year-old Zhang Ruishu and one-year-old Zhang Yangrui. Ruishu reportedly died as soon as he fell from the building while Yangrui died sometime later. Police said the two children belong ed to a 27-year-old man named Zhang Bo.
In the case, police said Zhang Bo was divorced from his wife and wanted to marry his girlfriend Yeh Chengshen, though his girlfriend refused to adopt both his children. After that, she had been asking her to separate from the children for a long time. Not only that, she had also told Zhang Bo that she would not marry him unless he separated from his children. In this case, Zhang Bo's ex-wife Chen Meillin said, 'He married and made Chengshen a girlfriend. Then he divorced Chen for her sake. The court had ordered that custody of the daughter be given to her mother, while custody of the son would be given to his father until he turned 6.
As soon as his girlfriend knew all this, he asked him to separate from the children. One day, when the two children were with Zhang Bo, his girlfriend got angry and cut her wrist on a live video call. Zhang Bo was so upset that he got angry and threw both his children down the building. Zhang, on the other hand, says he was sleeping when his children fell from the building.
