Designated by President Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier Li Qiang will partake in the forthcoming Virtual G20 Leaders' Summit following an invitation extended by India, as confirmed by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Anticipating the virtual summit's potential, China expresses optimism in consolidating consensus and conveying a constructive message amidst global challenges.

During the September G20 Summit hosted by India, Li Qiang deputized for President Xi Jinping, a role that reaffirmed China's commitment to global dialogue and cooperation.

Addressing reporters in a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning affirmed Li Qiang's attendance at the G20 Summit, underscoring China's eagerness for collaborative efforts within the G20 to address pressing global issues and contribute constructively to worldwide economic recuperation.

"In an era of unpredictable international circumstances and a sluggish economic revival, the G20's role in fostering partnerships, tackling global challenges through collaboration, and bolstering global economic recovery and development is pivotal," stated the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson.

With a hope to foster consensus, she emphasized, "China aspires for the virtual summit to cultivate unity and broadcast an affirmative message in this endeavor."

The eagerly anticipated Virtual G20 Leaders' Summit, hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will witness the convergence of influential leaders worldwide. Scheduled to commence today from 5:30 pm onwards, the summit will bring together leaders from all G20 member nations, the Chair of the African Union, and delegates from nine guest countries, accompanied by heads of 11 international organizations, all of whom have been extended invitations.

This summit stands as a critical platform for global leaders to deliberate on paramount issues impacting the world today.
